There Is No Secret
What I do as a coach is not a mystery.
It’s not a hidden formula you can only get by paying for access.
There is no secret.
What I offer is guidance for looking directly at the experience that is constantly unfolding. That’s it.
Most of us spend our lives resisting what shows up or clinging to what we hope will stay. Both are exhausting. Both create struggle where none is necessary.
The alternative is not complicated. It’s simply looking. Looking at what is, instead of fighting it or fantasizing about it.
And here’s the truth: you don’t need me for this. You don’t need any teacher or coach. This looking is always available to you, right here, in every moment.
A Simple Sequence
If you’d like a place to begin, here’s a simple three-step sequence:
Step One: Recognize the Space
Notice that whether you like what is happening or not, there is space for any thought, feeling, or sensation.
Whatever is happening is happening here,
If you simply let it be…if you do nothing at all about it, there is plenty of room for it.
Step Two: Explore the Nature of What is Here
Turn gently toward what is showing up and ask:
What is this really? Not the name of it. What is the thing itself?
Where is it located?
What shape does it have?
How much does it weigh?
What is it made of?
Where does it come from? Not the cause. Where was it before it was here?
Step Three: Find What Is Experiencing What is Here.
Finally, inquire into what is looking:
What is experiencing this?
Where is it located?
What is it made of?
That’s all.
No secret.
No mystery.
Just looking.
And in that looking, peace reveals itself.
